    Cristal Martinez Acosta, LPC-S, LPCC, NCC, CCTP

    Cristal Martinez Acosta, LPC-S, NCC, CCTP (she/her/ella) is the CEO and Founder of Clarity El Paso.

    Cristal, El Paso born and raised, has extensive expertise in the treatment of children, adolescents, and families who have experienced traumatic events with over 15 years of practice under her belt. She understands that trauma is completely subjective and a highly personal experience with roots in racism, colonization, historical oppression, and intergenerational patterns passed down to us from our families.

    As an expert in the organizational and clinical implementation of trauma-informed care, Cristal is certified in EMDR, PCIT, and TFCBT. She earned her BA in Psychology from UTEP and her graduate degree in Guidance and Counseling from New Mexico State University. Cristal is prepared to meet you where you are in your healing journey and make your trauma therapy experience a fully collaborative process from the start.

    Cristal is the host and creator of a mental health podcast called “Through the Eyes of a Therapist” and contributes written work as a mental health blogger on various websites. Cristal currently teaches at the University of Texas at El Paso as an adjunct faculty member in the Mental Health Counseling Program.

  • Elisa Dobler, LCSW-S

    Therapist and Clinical Director: Individuals, EMDR, TFCBT. Licensed in TX. Spanish Speaking.

    Elisa Dobler, LCSW-S (she/her/ella) has a Master of Arts from Bowling Green State University and a Master of Science in Social Work from UTEP. While in the Master of Social Work program, Elisa was awarded the Hogg Bilingual Scholarship for Mental Health and the SAMSHA/HRSA Borderland Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health Initiative Grant. She specializes in trauma and has extensive experience with victims of crime of all ages. Currently she is trained in TF-CBT, EMDR, PESI Online Play Therapy among other modalities.

    Her clinical work has been with diverse groups of people from various cultural backgrounds, children and adolescents, veterans, LGBTQ2I+ folx, and college aged students.

    Previously, Elisa worked in public education as an IB (International Baccalaureate) teacher and English IV teacher from 2006-2013. She speaks three languages and enjoys taking weekend hikes, enjoys learning to play piano and poker and spending time with family. Elisa is currently accepting inquiries for LMSW supervisees.

  • Belinda Acuña, LPC, NCC, CTP

    Belinda Acuña, LPC (she/her/ella) earned a Master of Education in Guidance and Counseling degree in 2009 from the University of Texas at El Paso. She is enrolled at Grand Canyon University to pursue a Ph.D. in General Psychology: Integrating Technology, Learning, and Psychology. She met the professional counseling standards established by the Board and has earned recognition as a National Certified Counselor. Ms. Acuña has had experience in investigating the difficulties and practical approaches in treating patients who have co-occurring mental health and drug addiction disorders. As a therapist, she is certified in both Breaking the Chains in Trauma and Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT). She has worked with addictions, relationships, substance abuse, and motivational interviewing. She also specializes in group therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and couples counseling. She practices with the intent of serving others to assist them in finding their way to a clear path and promote a better understanding of themselves.

    Marlenne Lizardo (she/her/ella) is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in Texas, under the supervision of Cristal Acosta, LPC-S, LPCC, NCC, CCTP and Richard Salcido, LPC-S. She understands that deciding to pursue therapy can be a challenging decision, but she views it as a sign of strength and a powerful act of self-love. In times when life feels overwhelming, and it seems like there is no way out, Marlenne believes that seeking help is one of the bravest steps someone can take toward understanding their own story and finding hope.

    Marlenne’s therapeutic approach is integrative, taking into account the bio-psychosocial factors that can influence or contribute to mental health struggles. In her professional work, she emphasizes cultural humility, cultural competence, trust, and respect, ensuring that these values guide each session.     Andrea (she/her/ella) is a bilingual therapist serving clients as a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A) at Clarity El Paso under the supervision of Cristal Martinez Acosta, LPC-S.

    Andrea, a proud fronteriza born and raised in El Paso, is passionate about creating inclusive, affirming spaces where clients can reconnect with themselves and their stories. With over five years of experience in the mental health field, Andrea began her career as a case worker, walking alongside individuals and families as they navigated complex life challenges. Her background has shaped her compassionate, grounded approach to therapy and deepened her understanding of the systemic barriers many clients face.

    Andrea has supported adults, teens, LGBTQ+ individuals, and members of the Latinx community in outpatient, group, and nonprofit settings. She earned her Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from The University of Texas at El Paso and integrates evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and person-centered therapy. She also incorporates somatic practices to support full-body healing and reconnection.

    Andrea approaches therapy through a culturally responsive and socially conscious lens.     Betty Leday (she/her/ella) pours her heart and soul into helping clients turn life's toughest challenges into opportunities for growth.  She combines years of counseling experience with an unwavering dedication to help guide her clients as they embrace change, step beyond their comfort zones, and grow into the best version of themselves. She is warm, relatable, insightful about life’s struggles and offers a safe space to heal and evolve on your own terms.  

    With over 30 years of counseling experience in school settings and behavioral hospital settings, and personal insight into adoption and blended families, Betty understands the journey of emotional healing. She listens attentively, works collaboratively, and encourages each individual she supports. She offers compassionate support to those navigating a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, intergenerational trauma, and family conflict. Her specialty lies in working with women who are balancing family and career demands, coping with occupational stress, navigating fears related to life transitions, and managing issues such as infertility, adoption, divorce, and stress. 

    Her practice integrates evidence-based techniques tailored to fit each individual’s specific needs and long-term goals. She offers Spanish and Christian counseling and is passionate about helping fellow believers find healing and strength through their faith. Betty earned her BA from UTEP and her graduate degree in Counseling from Western New Mexico State University. In addition to practicing individual therapy, Betty is experienced in delivering other evidence-based interventions such as CBT and parent training. She has facilitated several psychoeducation groups focusing on parenting, emotion regulation, communication skills, substance abuse, relapse prevention, trauma and resilience.
