FAQ’S

  • Our waitlist can sometimes be up to 6-8 weeks long. Please call our office at 915-995-5586 to ask about the length of the waitlist or to be placed on it. Cristal and Elisa are experts in their field, and we promise therapy with them is worth the wait!

  • Please call our office at 915-995-5586 to be placed on the waitlist. Our waitlist can be up to 6-8 weeks long depending on which provider you want to see at Clarity. Once you move up the waitlist, you will get a call from our office assistant to schedule your 15-minute consultation.

  • 13 and up.

  • No. All services are virtual at the moment. Please enjoy your sessions from the comfort and privacy of your own home or another safe space.

Walk-and-talk options are available to some clients. Please ask for details.

  • All you need is a computer, smart phone, or tablet that connects to the Internet. You can meet with your provider somewhere comfortable and safe–like your bedroom, bathroom, living room, closet, garage, etc.–and then, after your appointment ends, you can get right back to what you were doing before you logged in. It’s easy and convenient!

  • With a few exceptions, everything you tell your therapist is confidential.

If you are in danger of harming yourself, harming others, or if there is disclosure of abuse or neglect of a child, elderly person, or disabled person, your therapist will need to break confidentiality and notify authorities to keep you and/or others safe. Insurance companies also require a diagnosis for billing purposes, and they need some information about you in order for our practice to get reimbursed.

Apart from the above (and a few more) exceptions, confidentiality is of our utmost concern. If, for example, a family member, friend, lawyer, doctor, or spouse calls us to ask if you are in therapy, we cannot confirm or deny that information to them unless we get your written permission. We take client privacy very seriously at Clarity and will address this further at your first appointment.

  • The free 15-minute consultation is meant for you and your future therapist to get to know one another briefly and ensure you are a good match for each other. The therapy process is highly personal and private, and therapists and clients work together for long periods of time. It’s important that both parties feel safe with one another.

During the consultation, the therapist will ask basic questions about why you are currently seeking therapy. More in-depth questions will be asked in the first session after the consultation. You will also have the opportunity to ask questions about your therapist’s processes and approach to therapy.

If you are not a good match because of the therapist’s scope of practice, she will refer you to a more appropriate practitioner. If you feel you do not want to work with them, they can give you a list of referrals for other therapists or professionals in the community who may be able to help you.
