Larry Mendiola (he/him/el) is a bilingual Licensed Professional Counselor Associate who works with children, adolescents, and adults navigating anxiety, behavioral challenges, trauma, and life stressors. He brings over 6 years of experience in the mental health field, supporting individuals across a variety of settings.

Born and raised in El Paso, Larry earned his bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University and his master’s degree in counseling from the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP). His background and lived experience allow him to connect with clients from diverse cultural and personal backgrounds in a meaningful and grounded way.

Larry works with adolescents, teens, and families, and incorporates a trauma-informed approach in his work with both individuals and family systems. He has experience facilitating family sessions, helping improve communication, strengthen relationships, and support healthier dynamics within the home.

Larry’s approach to therapy is rooted in a person-centered foundation, emphasizing the importance of creating a safe, supportive, and genuine therapeutic relationship. He integrates a variety of modalities—including parts work, CBT-informed strategies, somatic approaches, and relational techniques—to best support each client’s individual needs and goals.

He understands that therapy is a collaborative process and adapts his approach to meet each client where they are, whether that involves building practical skills or creating space for deeper exploration and healing. His goal is to help clients feel more grounded, empowered, and connected to themselves.
